Payment & Cancellation Policy

A deposit of 50% of the total invoice is required to secure your reservations, once being confirmed to you.

The balance of payment is due 7 – 14 days prior to your date of arrival in Africa or safari start. If your booking is made and confirmed within 15 days of your arrival date, full payment will be required immediately.

Payments can be made either by Visa, PayPal, M-pesa Master Card via Telegraphic Transfer to our bank account to be provided. Payment by visa card attracts a 5% bank surcharge

Cancellation must be notified in writing and will take effect the day it is received by Mara Chui Resort .

The following penalties will apply :-

  • Cancellation within 30 days – 50%
  • Cancellation beyond 30 days – 100% refund

No refund is available for cancellations after commencement of tour arrangements or on any services not used.

General Booking Conditions

Passports and Visas

You are required to ensure that your passport and travel documentation is in order and that you have obtained the necessary visas for your journey. Should you require assistance on this matter we will be pleased to make recommendations.

International and Domestic air bookings

Reconfirmation of flight bookings is the responsibility of the traveller. As tour arrangements may be booked to connect with international and domestic air flights it is your responsibility to keep us updated as to your flight times and numbers so that we arrange on you arrival day.

Travel Insurance

Though not necessary, it is advisable that the client is adequately insured for the full duration of the stay in respect of illness, injury, death, loss of baggage and personal items, cancellation and curtailment. The choice of insurer is the sole discretion of the client.

Amendments to confirmed arrangements

Mara Chui Resort offers its clients customized packages on safaris either walk, drive or hot balloon safaris. The price of your stay arrangements is subject to the possibility of changes and surcharges beyond our control and may occur in connection with governmental action, currency exchange rate fluctuation and increases in partners’ prices.

While Mara Chui Resort will use its best endeavors to provide all services as confirmed, reasonable changes in the itinerary may be made without notice if deemed necessary or advisable by our experienced staff.


In the case of Africa, Mara Chui Resort acts only as a co-coordinator for all clients with respect to services provided by underlying operators, including tour operators. All bookings with Mara Chui Resort are therefore subject to the limitations of liability imposed by the underlying operators involved in the trip.

Payment of a deposit will indicate an acceptance of these booking conditions by the passenger/client.
